Climate Action Leader for Global Sustainability

Restaurant Brands International Inc. is one of the world's largest quick service restaurant companies with over $40 billion in annual system-wide sales and over 30,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries.
The company seeks a Director Climate Action & Reporting, supporting the execution of RBI's global sustainability plans. The Director will assist in strategy development and lead implementation of the company's sustainability efforts in strategic areas, including managing company-wide projects on specific issue areas, namely climate action and supporting the execution of sustainability goals by other departments/functions.
This role will be responsible for leading management of RBI's sustainability strategy, goal- and policy-setting process for climate, including GHG management, emissions reductions, green buildings, renewable energy, sustainable sourcing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Benchmarking, synthesizing, and communicating external and internal trends and insights; supporting identification of emerging sustainability issues and opportunities for collaboration and leadership;
- Managing and executing elements of RBI's sustainability plan, overseeing project management, facilitation, and execution of goals out by cross-functional departments as well as the regional and global brand teams, as it relates to the topics of climate and reporting;
- Leading cross-functional projects across all brands globally;
- Supporting and/or leading cross-functional LT-level engagement, including monthly meetings with brands and regions, monthly meetings with Chief Corporate Officer, and quarterly updates to Audit Committee and Board of Directors;
The ideal candidate will have:
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree in business, operations, sustainability or a related field being a plus;
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience in a top-tier consulting firm, NGO working with business, a CSR/sustainability consultancy, or sustainability-focused operations or similar role in the private sector, preferably in the restaurant industry;
- A strong understanding of GHG accounting;
- Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, ISSB, CDP, and TCFD.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, and relocation assistance may be provided if necessary.
