About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that will play a critical role in driving strategic growth and development at Scotiabank. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading strategic projects and initiatives that align with the Bank's overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Project Leadership: Lead customized strategy development and advisory support at an enterprise and business line level, including research, analysis, and compelling strategic recommendations that solve business problems.
  • Project Planning and Management: Prepare project plans to ensure deliverables and timelines are met, and manage multiple project workstreams, including leading problem-solving sessions, workshops, and interviews with cross-functional and business line working team members and subject matter experts.
  • Financial Analysis and Modeling: Gather data and perform financial analyses to diagnose issues, create financial models to assess future state financial benefits and costs, and synthesize findings to present clear recommendations and implementation plans.
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of deliverables and overall objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Drive the execution and ongoing management of strategy planning at the enterprise and business line level, perform strategic and business analysis, identify key issues, and propose recommendations for the Bank's strategy.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in business or engineering; graduate business degree.
  • Experience: 2+ years post-MBA or 5+ years post-undergraduate experience in consulting, corporate strategy/development, or investment banking.
  • Industry Experience: Experience within the financial services industry preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Superior interpersonal skills, leadership, and influential capabilities; exceptional planning and analytical skills; highly developed relationship management skills; exceptional presentation and written communication skills; proven track record delivering innovative solutions from concept to change management.
