Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Payroll Technician to join our team at Fed Finance. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supervising and reviewing supplier invoice entry, opening and monitoring new supplier accounts, and managing fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and review supplier invoice entry
  • Open and monitor new supplier accounts
  • Manage fixed assets, including coding and accounting entry
  • Prepare and update reports to monitor operating and capital expenditures
  • Participate in year-end accounting work
  • Complete payroll cycle, including T4, R1, and W2 for our sites in Canada and the USA
  • Collect payroll variables
  • Process payroll with Paycor and Employer D
  • Update time and salary analysis reports
  • Manage head office group insurance
  • Participate in improvement projects

Requirements:

  • Professional degree in accounting or DEC in accounting
  • Minimum three years' experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of Sage X3, Paycor, and Employer D (an asset)
  • Mastery of Office suite software, specifically Excel
  • Bilingualism
  • Discretion and attention to detail
  • Autonomy and resourcefulness
  • Proactive attitude
