We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our payroll department, you will play a critical role in supporting the smooth operation of our payroll processes.
Responsibilities- Prepare and verify payroll for approximately 500 employees across Canada.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including salary adjustments and taxable benefits.
- Communicate with staff regarding various deductions and payroll requirements.
- C coordinate alimony remittances and other related tasks.
- Prepare journal entries and monthly reports as required.
- Support year-end process and perform reconciliations as needed.
- 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- DEC in administrative techniques, accounting or relevant training.
- Certification as a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) is an asset.
- Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage stress and meet deadlines.
We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
