About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ocean Freight Coordinator to join our team at Ontrek Logistics Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and Prioritize Orders: Gather and organize customer instructions and develop plans to ensure efficient task completion.
  • Operational Logistics Oversight: Monitor and oversee the operational logistics of the organization, ensuring smooth supply chain management.
  • Task Organization and Coordination: Organize tasks to accomplish work, coordinate activities with other work units or departments, and track work orders.
  • Supply Chain Management: Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments, perform routine clerical duties, and ensure the proper functioning of equipment.
  • Reporting and Maintenance: Prepare and submit reports, arrange for maintenance and repair work, and maintain work records and logs.
  • Personnel Management: Monitor personnel workloads and locations, resolve work problems, and provide technical advice to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Customer Service and Training: Provide customer service, train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff.
  • Project Management: Project manage tasks, estimate material and labor requirements, and monitor production progress.
  • Dispatching and Communication: Process and transmit information, schedule assignments, and coordinate activities of vehicle operators and crews.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs and provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities, and provide cultural competency training.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
