About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ocean Freight Coordinator to join our team at Ontrek Logistics Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and Prioritize Orders: Gather and organize customer instructions and develop plans to ensure efficient task completion.
  • Operational Logistics Oversight: Monitor and oversee the operational logistics of the organization, ensuring smooth supply chain management.
  • Task Organization and Coordination: Organize tasks to accomplish work, coordinate activities with other work units or departments, and ensure the movement of supplies and materials between departments.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and submit reports, maintain work records and logs, and monitor personnel workloads and locations.
  • Customer Service and Support: Provide customer service, respond to urgent calls, and assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Cross-Cultural Training and Awareness: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Indigenous Support and Mentorship: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
