Key responsibilities include preparing production reports, resolving work problems, and coordinating activities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for recruiting and hiring workers, training staff, and managing company resources. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare production and other reports
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Train or arrange for training
  • Prepare bids
  • Manage own company
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Recommend personnel actions
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
