Dawson Group is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in driving growth and expansion within the company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company's overall strategic plan.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including indigenous communities, suppliers, and partners.
  • Develop and implement sustainable practices in road construction and maintenance to minimize ecological impacts on the environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and agreements related to indigenous rights and land use.
  • Actively engage with indigenous leaders, elders, and community members to build trust and establish open lines of communication.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, commercial management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of indigenous relations and principles of engagement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and contract administration.
  • Familiarity with GIS for mapping and analysis in indigenous territories.
  • Experience with sustainable and environmentally friendly road construction practices.
  • Knowledge of federal grant and funding programs for infrastructure projects with indigenous involvement.
