We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef Assistant to join our team at JAG 'N SUGAR RESTAURANTS INC. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences and leading kitchen operations.
Estimated Salary:$45,000 - $55,000 per year
About the Role:- This is a permanent position, working 30-40 hours per week.
- The successful candidate will have a strong background in cooking and kitchen management, with experience in supervising staff and maintaining inventory and records.
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and hygiene.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and order supplies as needed.
- Clean and maintain the kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Develop and implement new recipes and dishes to enhance the restaurant's offerings.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in culinary arts an asset.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Detailed-oriented and organized, with strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English, with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
