Who We Are:
Located in Niagara Wine Country, Ruffino’s is one of Niagara's best Italian inspired neighbourhood restaurant. Featuring a wood-fired grill and pizza oven. Guests enjoy dining al fresco on our patio, up close & personal at our chef’s bar, or enjoy a cozy candlelit table for 2. The food is soul satisfying & belly filling like Nona’s. Warm and welcoming like the fires we cook on. All sourced fresh from our 4 acre farm. If we slow down, spend time with each other, eat great food & drink great wine, then we will learn what it means to be family and a community.
The Job:
The CDP partners with the Executive Chef and CDC to set, meet and exceed the goals of the business. The CDP effectively balances all areas of the culinary operations and successfully leads the Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, Porters, and receivers by providing goals and supporting growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Increase productivity and foster positive inter-departmental communications
Create and cook with fesh produce daily from our farm
Successfuly maintain and operate a designated station. Pasta / Entremetier / Saucier / Grill
Learn and Cook with open flames
Ensure rigorous knowledge of and adherence to all policies and procedures
Skills & Requirments:
3+ years of working in professional kitchens
strong organizational skills
knowledge of systems and processes in food cost management
Ability to help lead and empower a team
English fluency preferred
