Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Client Services department, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue through the development and execution of strategic client relationships.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Expert Network industry and proven experience in managing high-volume client briefs. They will be able to allocate projects to team members, ensuring workloads are balanced and clients' needs are met. The successful candidate will also be accountable for all delivery targets and metrics related to their team.
In this role, you will be working closely with the Commercial Team to develop strategies around account revenue growth. You will provide outstanding customer service and support to clients, acting as an SME on all aspects of the account and building valued relationships that encourage growth and increased coverage across our target clients.
Responsibilities- Manage multiple high-volume client briefs and ensure clients' expectations are met.
- Allocate projects to team members, ensuring workloads are balanced and clients' needs are met.
- Drive a proactive, outbound team attitude and create best practices and processes to enable the team to consistently find great experts across the globe.
- Embed an exemplary screening process, leading by example on how to ensure the best experts are thoroughly screened and vetted prior to sharing with a client.
- Owning accountability for all delivery targets and metrics related to your team.
- Industry expertise: previous experience working directly at an Expert Network company is required.
- People management: minimum of 1 year of experience managing a team directly in either a sales, outbound, or KPI-led environment.
- Exceptional communication skills across all levels and ability to converse and build rapport with clients and experts alike.
- Interpersonal skills: strong collaboration and team skills and ability to approach every aspect of your work with integrity.
- Drive & Tenacity: to possess the self-confidence to work in a rapidly growing and unstructured business with constant and high-volume workflow.
We offer a competitive salary + uncapped commission structure, which is designed to encourage and reward overperformance. The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer tenure gifts to thank our loyal staff who help the business grow, an enhanced maternity and paternity package, 15 days annual leave each year + 9 public holidays, inclusive of a week's closure over the Christmas period, hybrid working model, team socials, ERG groups, and corporate events.
