Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper

The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and presentation of all areas at the Casino, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Maintain a physical presence throughout the Casino to ensure areas are clean and free of debris
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and waxing floors as required or scheduled
  • Safeguard confidential information and exercise due care to prevent improper disclosure or use
  • Reduce slips, trips, and fall hazards in the Casino
  • Ensure proper use of supplies and report any malfunctions of housekeeping equipment to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Maintain good public relations with patrons and employees

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of cleaning experience in a commercial environment preferred
  • Dedicated to optimal customer service
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Knowledge of floor care, commercial cleaning products, and WHMIS
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment and/or independently
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform tasks and duties effectively and safely within prescribed time limits

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights

About the Role:

The Housekeeper will be an integral part of the Housekeeping team, working closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor and other departments to ensure the Casino is maintained to the highest standards.
