About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate LPN to join our care team at one of our communities in Victoria, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to residents, including medication administration, mentoring, and coaching unregulated staff.

Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive care plans under the direction of the Director of Care or designate, focusing on the physical, psychological, and social well-being of residents.
  • Direct and assist care aides in using appropriate procedures to ensure high-quality resident care.
  • Administer, monitor, and record medication administration, educate residents as needed, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize care outcomes.
  • Create and manage nursing care plans, participating in the evaluation of current and future medical needs, and contributing to the development of individualized care strategies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care treatments and communicate significant changes to the Health & Wellness Manager or designate and/or the resident's physician.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Completion of a Nursing diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Registration with the provincial nursing regulatory body and good standing.
  • Experience in a residential care setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of infection control procedures, exceptional interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
