About the Job
This role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team caring for patients undergoing termination of pregnancy. You will work closely with specialist placement nurses, consultants, and other departments such as fetal medicine to coordinate care for patients suffering from fetal abnormalities and pregnancy loss.
You will be expected to lead a small team made up of HCA's, staff nurses, and student nurses, providing effective support and leadership to staff, patients, and carers within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with nurse specialists, consultants, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care
- Lead a small team of HCA's, staff nurses, and student nurses, providing guidance and support
- Maintain high standards of care, ensuring the continuity of safe and effective patient care at all times
- Act as a deputy to the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse/Senior ODP when absent
- Participate in an on-call rota as required
Required Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, you must hold current NMC registration and have previous post-registration experience relevant to the specialty. A diploma in a health-related subject and evidence of ongoing professional development are also essential.
