We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team at the University of Winnipeg. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking project that highlights the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) individuals in organizing anti-racism movements in Winnipeg.
About the ProjectThe aim of this project is to publish an edited collection that will serve as a valuable resource for Women's and Gender Studies courses and social justice organizing courses. The book will showcase the collective efforts of BIPOC individuals in working towards anti-racism movements in Winnipeg.
Responsibilities- Assist in data collection, entry, analysis, and interpretation.
- Interview and collect data from various sources.
- Perform data/word processing, routine computations, and record keeping.
- Maintain detailed notes and records.
- Major in Women's and Gender Studies or related field.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
$25-$30 per hour based on the hourly rate for research assistants in the Winnipeg area.
Work Period:This position will be ongoing, with flexible hours. Estimated total hours of work: 5-120 hours.
