We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team at the University of Winnipeg. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain research experience and contribute to a project focused on social justice organizing in Winnipeg.

About the Project

The aim of this project is to publish an edited collection to be used as a resource for Women's and Gender studies courses and for courses that focus on social justice organizing. The book aims to highlight how Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) people have come together and worked in different capacities to organize anti-racism movements in Winnipeg.

Job Description

This position involves assisting with data collection, data entry, analysis, and interpretation. You will also be conducting interviews and collecting data. Additionally, you will perform data/word processing, routine computations, and record keeping. You will keep detailed notes and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a major in Women's and Gender Studies. You must also be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Working Conditions

This position will be conducted in-person. The period of work will be approximately 5-120 hours over several months. We offer a competitive salary of $15-$20 per hour, depending on experience.
