Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Unit Director to lead our Buildings Engineering team in Canada. Key Responsibilities:
- Business Growth: Develop and implement business plans to drive organic revenue growth, identify and target new clients, and build enduring relationships to improve retention.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of senior specialists, including discipline managers and service managers, to ensure they have the necessary skills to deliver program objectives.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to ensure service quality delivery, service excellence, and profitable growth within the business unit.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risk in service delivery, ensure compliance with governance processes, and maintain an in-depth understanding of the business unit's clients and market trends.
- Collaboration: Develop relationships throughout the organization to foster cooperation and maximize opportunities for cross-selling and trade-up.
- Culture and Wellbeing: Create a safe and respectful working environment where employees can grow, perform, and succeed, with a focus on Health and Wellbeing.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect in Canada, with at least 10+ years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization, excellent communication skills, and well-developed commercial skills.
