About the Role
The Culinary Specialist is a key member of our team at Dexterra Group, responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals to meet the needs of our clients. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals using different cooking methods, including deep-frying, pan-frying, broiling, baking, boiling, grilling, sautéing, and steaming.
- Ensure that all meals are prepared within the allocated food budget and meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment, including stoves, ovens, steamers, grills, and broilers.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in the hospitality or food service industry.
- Food Safety certification.
- WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional and punctual attitude.
