HR and Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll and HR Coordinator to join our team at Groupe RP in Montreal. This is a full-time, permanent position.

About the Role

In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, including:

  • Full cycle payroll management using Nethris software
  • Time and attendance management, including schedules, timecards, and accumulated hours
  • New employee file verification and accurate processing of payroll variables
  • Reconciliation of government remittances, T4s, Relevé 1s, and Records of Employment
  • Year-end activities and social and tax declarations

You will also provide exceptional support to employees on payroll-related inquiries, recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee relations. Additionally, you will develop and implement effective recruitment strategies, manage the hiring process, and conduct interviews with managers.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Payroll and HR Coordinator or in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll management software, particularly Nethris
  • Payroll certification from the Canadian Payroll Association is an asset
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in payroll, covering all aspects of payroll processing
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in human resources
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Bilingual (French-English), both written and spoken
