Aurora College seeks a skilled Curriculum Developer and Instructional Strategist to support the development of high-quality programs across three campuses and 19 Community Learning Centers in the Northwest Territories.

About the Role

This key position plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of relevant and meaningful education and research rooted in strong connections to Northern land, tradition, community, and people. The successful candidate will oversee instructional design activities and provide expertise to faculty and staff across all regions and programs.

Responsibilities
  1. Create engaging educational content and share instructional design expertise with others to drive academic excellence.
  2. Develop new program proposals and lead evaluations of existing programs to ensure quality and relevance.
  3. Design and deliver in-service training related to instructional design and program/course development, empowering educators to enhance their skills.
  4. Contribute significantly to the effectiveness, safety, and reputation of Aurora College.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design principles, particularly in post-secondary environments and technology-based learning.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and evaluation.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and eLearning software.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • A Master's degree in instructional design or a related field, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $**83,000 - $110,000** per year, based on location and industry standards.
