Instructional Leadership Specialist for Education and Professional Development

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Leadership Specialist to join our team in the Department of Education, Culture and Employment. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills and expertise in instructional design, professional development, and teacher certification.
About the RoleIn this position, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the development and implementation of education programs and services, including teacher certification and professional development initiatives. You will work closely with educators, administrators, and other stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality educational experiences that meet the needs of Northwest Territories residents.
You will also oversee the administration of the Educator Certification and Learning Management platforms, ensuring seamless delivery of these services to educators across the territory. Your expertise in instructional design and professional development will enable you to create innovative learning opportunities that cater to diverse learner needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement education programs and services aligned with departmental goals and objectives;
- Provide strategic leadership in instructional design, professional development, and teacher certification;
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality educational experiences;
- Oversee the administration of the Educator Certification and Learning Management platforms;
- Ensure alignment of education programs and services with government policies and regulations.

As an employee, you can expect a comprehensive compensation package that includes a salary range of $95,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field;
- Five years of relevant experience in instructional design, professional development, and/or teacher certification;
- One year of supervisory or team lead experience;
- Strong leadership and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
