Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Learning Officer to join our senior leadership team at Yellowknife Catholic Schools. This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional educational leader to shape the direction of learning in our district.

Job Responsibilities

The Chief Learning Officer will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of observable impact planning in alignment with our district priorities. This includes:

  • Developing and implementing curriculum-related initiatives and program development
  • Leading literacy and numeracy instruction from JK-12
  • Providing expert knowledge of assessment practices and data analysis for school improvement
  • Fostering respectful learning environments that are inclusive of all people
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in an educational field
  • A minimum of five years experience as a school principal or equivalent leadership experience
  • Proven success in curriculum-related initiatives and program development
  • Expert knowledge of literacy and numeracy instruction from JK-12
  • Deep understanding and experience in assessment practices
  • Ability to lead, engage, and collaborate with staff, parents, and the community
