Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Oku Izakaya Bar. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supervising specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff, and will be responsible for preparing and cooking food on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff
  • Prepare and cook food for our customers, including specialty dishes and meals for guests with food allergies or intolerances
  • Develop and implement menus and recipes to ensure high-quality food is served consistently
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to ensure efficient operations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high customer satisfaction
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior culinary role
  • Proven track record of supervising and leading a team
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of Japanese cuisine
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
