Job Description

Ocean Goose Japanese Restaurant seeks a highly skilled Chef to lead our culinary team. As Executive Culinary Director, you will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities across several restaurants. Your expertise will ensure that our dishes meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate and Manage Supplies and Food Costs: You will estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items, as well as labor costs, and maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Supervise Kitchen Staff: As a Head Culinary Officer, you will supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure our high standards are met.
  • Plan Menus and Recruit Staff: You will plan menus and ensure that food meets quality standards, recruit and hire staff, and train them in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will have 2 years of experience in a similar position, with a permanent contract and a 30-40 hour workweek. Proficiency in English is also essential.
