We are seeking a skilled Executive Culinary Lead to join our team at Social YVR. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef to take on a leadership role and oversee the culinary operations of our organization.
About the Role- The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory, as well as analyzing operating costs and other data to inform strategic decisions.
- This position requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff, supervise kitchen workers, and train new employees in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. They must also be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
- Analyze operating costs and make data-driven decisions
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff
- Supervise activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
- Train new employees in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Recruit and hire staff as needed
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects
$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
