About the Role

Molson Coors is seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our Marketing Activation and Customer Solutions team. As a Category Manager, you will play a key role in developing critical insights and solutions for assigned chain accounts to grow the size and value of the customer's beer category.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Category Insights and Analysis: Identify emerging business opportunities through the analysis of perfect store pillars, including category reviews, shelf space allocation, assortment strategy, and adjacency recommendations of planograms.
  2. Category Expertise: Develop comprehensive category reviews by integrating data from various sources, including Nielsen, Retailer POS, and others, to establish yourself as a reliable and valued category expert for assigned retailers.
  3. Sales Call Approach and Plan: Work collaboratively with account teams on sales call approach and plan, enhancing the utilization of analytics and insights within the Customer Sales team for assigned retailers.
  4. Activation and Implementation: Implement the annual plan agreed with the customer, ensuring activations align to brand strategies where appropriate and Perfect Store tools help elevate the category.
  5. Planogram Concepts: Assist in developing planogram concepts for assigned retailers.
  6. Postmortem Analysis: Conduct postmortem analyses of programs to evaluate successes and provide recommendations for improvements.
  7. Sampling Strategy: Lead sampling strategy for assigned customer.
Requirements
  1. Relationship Building: Build relationships and collaborate to achieve desired outcomes.
  2. Data-Driven Insights: Proven ability to use data and analytics to drive insights and recommendations that support business strategies and drive growth for the category.
  3. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant field, with 3+ years of progressive experience in category management, data analysis, consumer research, statistics, or sales in the CPG industry.
  4. Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint software, with working knowledge of Nielsen IQ, JDA/Blue Yonder Space Planning software, and Retailer POS experience.
