Key Responsibilities- Category Strategy Development: Create and maintain comprehensive category strategies based on market trends, industry intelligence, and business requirements.
- Sourcing and Negotiations: Take ownership of sourcing events and negotiations to drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface to key category business stakeholders, providing category leadership and direction to business partners and the Supplier Management team.
- Cost Savings and ROI: Identify cost savings objectives for the category and drive total cost of ownership reductions.
- Procurement Process Improvement: Aggregate demand to leverage Rogers' scale and scope to drive standardization and cost savings.
- Project Management: Manage the analysis of spend data to assist with the identification of sourcing and cost take-out opportunities.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience in telco/media/cable or comparative industry, or managing a Human Resources Services category in a procurement setting.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of procuring HR Services and Technology, including employee programs, training, and IT services procurement and contracting.
- Education: University/post-secondary degree required in business, commerce, or economics. An MBA is desirable but not required.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate/present complex topics to executive leaders, and strong relationship building and business acumen.
