About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our Marketing Activation and Customer Solutions team at Molson Coors Brewing Company. As a Category Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth and profitability for our beer category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Insights and Analysis
    • Develop critical insights and solutions for assigned chain accounts to grow the size and value of the customer's beer category.
    • Provide direction to deliver an optimal growth plan that fulfills portfolio and brand strategies, customer objectives, and volume/financial commitments.
  • Category Reviews and Recommendations
    • Conduct comprehensive category reviews by integrating data from various sources, including Nielsen, Retailer POS, and others.
    • Establish yourself as a reliable and valued category expert for assigned retailers.
  • Consumer Insights and Behavior
    • Incorporate consumer/shopper insights and behavior into analysis and insights.
    • Synthesize all insights into selling stories, category, and business reviews.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with account teams on sales call approaches and plans.
    • Enhance the utilization of analytics and insights within the Customer Sales team for assigned retailers.
  • Activation and Implementation
    • Implement the annual plan agreed with the customer, ensuring activations align with brand strategies and Perfect Store tools elevate the category.
    • Assist in developing planogram concepts for assigned retailers.
  • Post-Mortem Analysis and Recommendations
    • Conduct post-mortem analyses of programs to evaluate successes and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Sampling Strategy and Leadership
    • Lead sampling strategy for assigned customer.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant field.
    • 3+ years of progressive experience across category management, data analysis, consumer research, statistics, or sales in CPG industry.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven ability to use data and analytics to drive insights and recommendations that support business strategies and drive growth for the category.
    • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint software.
    • Working knowledge of Nielsen IQ, JDA/Blue Yonder Space Planning software, and Retailer POS experience is an asset.
    • Strong written and verbal selling skills.
