About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and diverse team member to join our full-time, seasonal Braidwood Tavern / Sidecut Steakhouse Host team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first interaction for guests in our Restaurants and will be responsible for providing exceptional quality and service to our guests.
Responsibilities- Welcome guests and provide exceptional service during their dining experience in collaboration with a team of servers.
- Manage the host stand, review the reservation book, and make recommendations for the table sections' setup.
- Ensure the cleanliness of each section of the restaurants, make necessary improvements, and check each table before opening to ensure it is properly set up.
- Develop a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients, and restaurant information.
- One to two years previous experience in a Food & Beverage outlet; previous employment experience within a luxury Hotels is considered an asset.
- Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Administrative skills are beneficial.
- Working knowledge of open table is beneficial.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Excellent commitment to service and teamwork.
- Must have a current Serving it Right certificate.
- Ability to work in Canada.
