About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional service, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and provide exceptional service during their dining experience, collaborating with a team of servers to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage the host stand, review the reservation book, and make recommendations for table sections' setup to optimize guest flow and satisfaction.
- Ensure the cleanliness of each section of the restaurants, making necessary improvements, and checking each table before opening to ensure it is properly set up.
- Develop a comprehensive working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients, and restaurant information to provide informed recommendations and answer guest inquiries.
Requirements:
- One to two years of previous experience in a food and beverage outlet, with a strong background in hospitality and customer service.
- Ability to operate computer equipment and other food and beverage computer systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Administrative skills, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Working knowledge of open table and other restaurant management systems.
- Strong command of the English language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent commitment to service and teamwork, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Current Serving it Right certificate, or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to work in Canada, with a valid work permit (if applicable).
