About the Role

We are seeking an experienced M&A Manager to join our team. As a key member of our acquisition team, you will be responsible for managing the entire transaction lifecycle – from initial evaluation to integration. Your expertise in financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, and investment approval will drive our growth strategy forward. Additionally, you will identify vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria, nurture leads, and develop relationships with owners, shareholders, and other stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and present target company financial information.
  • Manage acquisition transactions from initial evaluation through to integration.
  • Responsible for financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, investment approval, and post-close monitoring for multiple M&A transactions per year.
  • Manage the acquisition team including other M&A professionals and cross-functional experts on each transaction.
  • Identify vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria and add new prospects to our proprietary database of industry contacts.
  • Engage owners, shareholders, and other stakeholders in meaningful dialogues.
  • Nurture leads regularly and over long timelines, helping to progress prospective targets through the pipeline.
  • Work closely with our M&A business development team to ensure acquisition opportunities are being effectively nurtured and handled.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of experience in business/corporate development, investment banking at a boutique firm, PE firm, or B2B start-up.
  • High curiosity and drive to connect with business owners and learn their stories.
  • Strong telephone communication skills and capable of establishing and building rapport remotely.
  • Solid understanding of company financial information.
  • Solid experience in financial modeling.
  • Solid experience in Excel and PowerPoint.

Salary Information

$120,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
