Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

As a key member of the Southern Health-Santé Sud team, the Payroll/Scheduling Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of payroll and scheduling functions within the organization.
The successful candidate will report to the Director of Health Services and will be responsible for performing clerical duties related to employee benefits and scheduling, including maintaining accurate records and processing payroll documents.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A strong understanding of payroll procedures, benefit administration, and scheduling practices is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate employee records and benefit information
- Processing payroll documents and ensuring timely payment
- Coordinating scheduling and staffing activities
- Providing excellent customer service to employees and management
- Performing other related duties as required
Requirements:
- Grade XII education with aptitude in English and Mathematics
- Experience in payroll procedures and benefit administration
- Experience in scheduling and staffing
- Knowledge of Employment Standards and payroll deduction regulations an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and use of computer-based scheduling and payroll systems
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Working Conditions:

- May be required to work overtime to meet business needs
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
