Senior Commercial Insurance Leader

The Co-operators is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Commercial Insurance Leader to join our dynamic senior leadership team. As an Associate Vice President (AVP) of Commercial Solutions, you will be responsible for driving success in the Canadian Western Regions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Execute Business Plans: Create and manage business plans and related budgets, while monitoring and analyzing results to ensure plans are achieved.
- Lead and Deliver Broker Focused Products and Services: Develop and deliver broker focused products and services, including direct training of regional staff to ensure a full understanding of company products and services.
- Manage Broker Relationships: Manage broker relationships to achieve volume objectives while maintaining a profitable book of business.
- Regulatory Risk Management: Understand regulatory risk and influence and maintain compliant business processes and controls.
- Team Leadership: Lead and engage your team to deliver strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring.
- 10+ Years of Insurance Industry Experience: You have 10+ years of progressive insurance industry experience, including in-depth experience in the Commercial Mid-Market space.
- Education and Designations: Having a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, is preferred. Holding a CIP designation is an asset.
- Proven Track Record: You have a proven track record as a successful commercial insurance leader.
- Leadership Experience: You have experience leading a team(s) to build a strong broker distribution portfolio.
- Strategic Planning and Problem-Solving: You are experienced in building strategic plans and leading teams to solve complex problems.
- Detail-Oriented Work: Detail-oriented work that requires a high degree of mental concentration for extended periods of time.
- Travel Requirements: Some travel is required.
- Background Check: You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment.
