Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist

Robert Half is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join their team in Toronto, Ontario. As a key member of the IT team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to end-users, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining hardware and peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain hardware and peripherals, including upgrading and replacing computer parts, and handling documentation and asset inventory.
  • Meet and exceed SLA standards by closing tickets in a timely manner while upholding customer service standards.
  • Provide guidance to Tier 1 support and team members on ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Facilitate user account management, including onboarding, change, and departure processes.
  • Troubleshoot end-user issues, including root-cause analysis on various web and mobile applications, and handling escalated tickets related to server/network issues.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 related issues.
  • Hardware troubleshooting experience highly desired.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows.
  • Microsoft Teams experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Active Directory.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request.
  • Strong communication and social skills, with the ability to receive criticism well.
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting desktop/server operating systems and technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, and VMware.
  • Experience working with Azure Cloud.
  • Experience troubleshooting AV related issues.
