Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Professional to join our team as an Area Sales Manager - Business Development. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the Kelowna, Kamloops, Penticton, and Vernon areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Meet and exceed sales targets for Custom Brands Group products, programs, and services.
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities, and maintain relationships with existing customers.
    • Utilize marketing and sales tools to retain and increase sales volume.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional customer service, training, and support to customers.
    • Strive to increase and expand sales through effective sales techniques and product knowledge.
    • Handle customer complaints in a professional and tactful manner.
  • Reporting and Administration:
    • Submit timely and accurate sales reports, work plans, and expense reports.
    • Stay up-to-date with customer, market, and competitor activities.
    • Provide regular feedback to management and relevant teams.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales, field sales, or business development in the consumer goods industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Window treatment industry experience and product knowledge is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
  • 70% travel requirement, including overnight travel.
  • Excellent customer interface and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM applications (Salesforce preferred).
