About the Opportunity

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, documenting, and directing resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff.
  • Providing leadership to health services staff and overseeing the provision of quality health services respecting the client's right to individualized planning of health services.
  • Working with the existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Administering and recording prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice.
  • Maintaining the standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting.
  • Applying dressings and treatments according to physician's orders and policy.
  • Assisting with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff.

About You

  • Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule of hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
  • Any previous course in Alzheimer's and Dementia Care to be an asset.
  • Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset.
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
