Job Summary


We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses who can provide person-centered care to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality care, coordinating care plans, and collaborating with our interprofessional team.


About the Role


As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Delivering quality person-centered care to our clients
  • Coordinating care plans and collaborating with our interprofessional team
  • Performing administrative duties, such as documentation
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation pertaining to clients and staff
  • Addressing mental health and social issues, advocating for clients as needed, and promoting healthy life choices
  • Responding to complaints, concerns, and incident investigations, ensuring appropriate corrective action and follow-up
  • Establishing effective relationships with clients and family members
  • Organizing and prioritizing work to ensure a safe, timely, and effective delivery of services
  • Recording patients' medical information and vital signs
  • Monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms or changes in patients' conditions
  • Modifying treatment plans as needed based on patient responses and conditions
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care
  • Maintaining clinical skills and seeking learning opportunities to stay current
  • Providing leadership to assigned areas

Requirements


To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess:



  • A valid registration with the Province of Nova Scotia
  • Minimum 6 months of related experience (preferably in long-term care)
  • Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated abilities in problem-solving, decision-making, group process, and directing and supervising others
  • Ability to attend work regularly and consistently
  • Demonstrated use of proper body mechanics
  • Initiative and ability to work independently

Compensation


We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
