About This Opportunity

We are seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our team at Woodlawn Medical Clinic, located near downtown Dartmouth and within a comfortable commute from Halifax.

  • This is a full-time and part-time opportunity in a collaborative practice with family physicians, nurse practitioners, family practice nurses, and specialists on site.
Responsibilities
  • Examine patients, take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures, advise on healthcare, health promotion, and disease prevention.
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners.
  • Act as a patient advocate.
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations.
  • Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other public health requirements.

About the Position:

The successful candidate will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS), certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), and membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).

This position comes with an existing patient roster and offers a competitive salary range of $250,000 to $350,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
