Job Description

Mayers Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

About the Role
  • We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • You will be responsible for assisting patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting independence and dignity.
Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal care needs, including toileting, mobility, and transfers.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and calming environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, progress notes, and incident reports.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance your skills and knowledge in patient care.
Requirements
  • Diploma or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., healthcare, social services).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
