Job DescriptionThis is a permanent, full-time position with an estimated salary range of $40,000 to $45,000 per year, depending on experience. As a Child Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
Key Responsibilities:- Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
- Child Assessment: Assess children's developmental progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share information about their child's progress.
- Leadership: Lead activities and events that promote socialization, creativity, and learning.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
- Experience: Experience in child development, education, or a related field is an asset.
- Certifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
This position requires a physically demanding work environment with regular standing, walking, and bending. You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and participate in play-based activities with children.
