Sales Engineer

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in Commercial Air Conditioning. As the key to our company's continued success and growth, you will be responsible for establishing relationships with design engineers and driving LG growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a target list of key design engineers within your assigned territory and refine continuously.
- Uncover and call on key decision makers in the market to drive LG growth.
- Provide ongoing training and education of design engineers, owners, and contractors regarding Variable Refrigerant Flow technology and LG advantages.
- Work with design engineers in laying out projects with LG as the basis of design, utilizing our LATS design program.
- Generate favorable LG specifications with design engineers.
- Assist engineers in energy consumption modeling for LG VRF versus competitive VRF and traditional HVAC designs.
- Assist local independent representatives in driving and sales activities with design engineers, owners, and contractors.
- Track project status and follow up.
- Manage relationships with design engineers, independent LG representatives, and distributors, building owners, and mechanical contractors. Design engineer relationships are the primary customer focus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Sales Engineer calling on consulting engineers in the HVAC industry. BC experience is preferable.
- Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) and/or Professional Engineer (P.Eng) Designation.
- Knowledge of VRF and LEED certification are desired.
- Key Competencies: Job Knowledge, teamwork, leadership, decision making, customer-oriented, execution (results-oriented, interpersonal skills/communication).
- Proficiency with Internet, Microsoft Explorer, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Travel required within the assigned territory.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience presenting to higher levels within the organization, distributor management, engineers, developers, and contractors.
Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
