We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer to join our team, responsible for implementing and maintaining software that drives our Unified Threat Management (UTM) feature set.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain software that drives our UTM feature set
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in application-layer protocols and software development, suggesting improvements within the team
  • Promote best practices within the team and organization
  • Provide product improvement suggestions while using Fortinet firewalls daily
  • Research and investigate new areas of technology to enhance existing products or explore new directions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in C/C++ programming
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience developing software in a Linux or UNIX-like environment
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, POSIX APIs, and sockets
  • Experience with source control software (SVN, git, etc.)
