About Scorteus Leather Store:
Scorteus Leather Store is a dynamic and customer-focused retailer seeking an experienced Retail Store Operations Manager to lead our retail store team. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Retail Store Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail store. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assigning sales workers to duties to ensure optimal store performance
- Hiring and training or arranging for training of staff to maintain high standards of customer service and product knowledge
- Authorizing payments by cheque to manage store finances effectively
- Ordering merchandise to maintain stock levels and meet customer demands
- Authorizing returns of merchandise to resolve customer issues efficiently
- Selling merchandise to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth
- Preparing reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
- Resolving issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, to maintain a positive store environment
- Organizing and maintaining inventory to minimize stock discrepancies and optimize storage space
- Supervising and coordinating activities of workers to ensure seamless store operations
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate as a minimum requirement
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail management role or equivalent
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and engage your team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve complex issues and make informed decisions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
