Job Title: Store Operations Manager
Location: Scorteus Leather Store
Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Store Operations Manager to join our team at Scorteus Leather Store. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff, focusing on developing their skills and promoting a positive work environment.
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling procedures to maintain accuracy and security.
- Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand and minimize waste.
- Authorize return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise with customers.
- Sell merchandise and maintain a deep understanding of our products and services to provide expert advice to customers.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions and improve performance.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, using effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate records and minimizing losses.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, providing guidance and support to achieve targets and promote a positive work environment.
- 3-4 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, and a team player attitude.
- A competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year.
