Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Scorteus Leather Store. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our sales floor, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are adequately trained to provide excellent customer service.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills to perform their job duties.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Order merchandise and ensure that it is properly received and stored.
  • Authorize return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to ensure that our customers are satisfied with their purchases.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters to ensure that our store is running efficiently.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that our store is well-stocked and that our customers have access to the products they need.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that our store is running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
