Retail Store Manager

Scorteus Leather Store is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their tasks effectively.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they meet the company's standards.
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage the store's finances.
- Order merchandise and ensure it is stocked and displayed effectively.
- Authorize the return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to drive sales growth.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure the store is well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers to ensure the store runs smoothly.
- Supervise 3-4 people.
- Supervise 5-10 people.

- Recruits Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives.
- Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
- Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
