Retail Store Manager

Scorteus Leather Store is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our sales floor, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage store finances effectively.
- Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Authorize return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Sell merchandise and promote our products to customers.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient stock management.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure a smooth and efficient store operation.

- Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
- Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination
- Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities
