About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing our sales strategy to achieve revenue growth through sales. This involves identifying new sales opportunities, nurturing and growing existing customer relationships, and understanding the complexities of long-term sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our General Manager and sales team to execute tactics and processes required to deliver on our sales strategy.
  • Champion our sales strategy by winning new municipal and industrial generator contracts, as well as securing new landowner agreements for beneficial residual use.
  • Articulate key performance metrics, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual production targets.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activity, making strategic decisions based on data-driven insights.
  • Ensure the accuracy and predictability of our sales pipeline when forecasting net new revenue.
  • Collaborate effectively with our technical sales team, developing strong relationships and rapport with clients.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client needs and genuinely care about their success.
  • Differentiate SYLVIS from competitors by continuously validating and improving our sales strategy through analysis of lost and won contracts.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in proactive sales growth, building relationships with municipalities, governments, industry, and end-users.
  • A hands-on approach with a proven track record working within complex sales cycles, navigating multiple stakeholders to secure purchases.
  • A passionate sales leader who is a team player, experienced in finding new opportunities, building key relationships, and strategically growing sales pipelines.
  • A natural collaborator with excellent communication and organizational skills, able to wear multiple hats in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience achieving quarterly sales targets, forecasting, reporting, and KPIs, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Professional knowledge of fertilizers and soil amendments, with the ability to establish a value proposition for landowners by contrasting chemical fertilizers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with farmers and corporate landowners, conveying excitement about the company brand and vision.
  • Thrives in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment, with exceptional communication and organizational skills, generating revenue through sales.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to travel in Canada and the USA.
