CB Canada is currently seeking a Payroll Department Lead to join our team. As a key member of the payroll department, you will be responsible for overseeing the processing of payroll changes, resolving issues, and answering payroll-related questions.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role and contribute to the growth and development of the payroll department. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of total payroll experience, excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes, and proven leadership skills.

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can work with a variety of payroll applications and systems. If you have experience in supervising and coaching payroll coordinators, this could be the perfect fit for you.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating reports, ensuring accuracy of records, and collaborating with HR and accounting teams. They will also liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades
  • Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions
  • Help create systems that process payroll account transactions, like salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments
  • Supervise and coach 2 payroll coordinators
  • Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
  • Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
  • Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
  • Create reports and ensure accuracy of records
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4+ years of total payroll experience
  • Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to supervise and coach payroll coordinators
  • Able to work with a variety of payroll applications and systems
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $85,000 and $95,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
