Dispute Resolution Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Dispute Resolution Manager to join our executive management team at LHH Knightsbridge. This role is responsible for the overall strategic direction and performance of the department centered around two key pillars: access and privacy.
About the RoleThe Dispute Resolution Manager will be a critical member of the executive leadership team, responsible for advancing our organization's strategic priorities to meet its evolving mandate in a fast-paced and complex digital environment. The successful candidate will provide high-level strategic advice and support to the Commissioner on all matters under their areas of responsibility.
This includes receiving, screening, mediating, investigating, and adjudicating appeals and complaints about access to information and privacy under various legislation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience in adjudication and alternative dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Tribunal leadership team and staff.
- Oversee the implementation of plans and operational strategies to deliver efficient, effective, timely, and high-quality services.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to advance the organization's strategic priorities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 7 years of practice in law, with a focus on privacy, access to information, public, and administrative law.
- Strong background and experience in adjudication and alternative dispute resolution.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior management position in a legal, regulatory, or adjudicative agency in the federal, provincial, or municipal public sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage financial, human, and operational resources effectively.
We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated $125,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits include comprehensive health and dental coverage, a pension plan, and generous paid time off.
